Day One Hundred and Sixty One

Miss Pancake

It was back to work Monday again. So we were up very early.

So we would not be late for work.

And after Zita and I were all dressed we had our before work breakfasts.

With the badgers too. Oh my goodness me.

Then we went into our office to work.

But then Niamh was awake too and she went in the den to write her university stories.

Right on my comfy sofa. With a big blanket all over her.

So I went into the den and minded her.

After a while even Craig was awake and when he had his next coffee he had croissants for his breakfast.

I got up on my comfy chair.

And he put those croissants in the oven first. So the butter would melt right inside.

Ha. That was a very tasty idea.

I got some of the crunchy ends. And when he was all finished I got the full of crumbs plate. Just for me. Ha.

Then Niamh had to go out to do some important things so I had my morning nap.

On my own comfy bed.

It was not so cold this morning but sometimes there was snow.

But when it was my lunchtime I was all just as awake as could be.

So Craig would not forget about it.

Festis and Furrgus

Well it is another Monday morning.

But thanks to our rather unusually abrupt departure from Her Majesty’s Service we did not have any duties to mar the day.

Well aside from our regular household responsibilities.

Mrs. T and that Miss Pancake dog were up slightly before us. My goodness.

So we had a communal first, for us anyway, breakfast.

Then we went off to secure the perimeter.

Having assured ourselves that the neighbourhood was safe we had to decide where to have our next breakfast.

After some too and frowing we arrived, grumbling stomachs and all at the Sunset Grill.

Their sausage, ham and bacon omelettes seemed to be just the thing to quell our appetites.

And an extra portion of fried potatoes filled the plates.

We know from decades of experience the absolute necessity of starting the week off on a full stomach as one never knows what lays just around the corner.

Speaking of which when we arrived home Dugal mentioned that Lochlainn had telephoned him.

It appears as it they are in the midst of a possible blizzard. Goodness me.

So the installation of the geothermal plant is delayed for a bit, fortunately the coal reserves are completely adequate he told Dugal.

And he and the dogs got the sheep inside again before the worst of the weather struck.

But those cows of our refused to go in the barn.

Stubborn animals are our cows.

Perhaps we should encourage Lochlainn to get a few cow herding dogs like our Miss P.

We are loathe to tell him about the difference of a blizzard here and a blizzard there.

But to be fair, the amount of city equipment devoted to accommodating life in our weather would dwarf all of Scotland’s.

But all in all we are glad the castle is under his oversight as Cousin Morag is back in snow free Edinburgh, politicking.

Lord help them all.

Miss Pancake

After lunch Zita and I were very busy helping a brand new rascal lady with her computer.

So I was very quiet and kept Zita toasty warm.

Last night the boys at Niamh’s university played basketball against Emmet’s old university.

And Niamh’s nice university won.

And it was the very most important game.

And her ladies played against Craig’s father’s old university and they won too. My goodness me.

I think they were very happy.

All their dogs will have very waggly tails too. My goodness me.

I do not think Emmet minded so much.

Craig said Emmet is not so very interested in anything after a so very very very long time ago. Oh well.

Because all the people he teaches about only were alive so very long ago everyone forgot about them.

Except for my friend Emmet.

Emmet must be their very favourite all alive person. Ha. That is good.

Today they found a book from a silly man.

Right in the very old university’s library. My goodness me.

This afternoon Zita was very busy talking to people.

So I was very quiet and had my afternoon nap minding Craig in the living room.

On my very comfy chair.

Craig says I have to share that chair with guests. Oh well.

This afternoon Zita was very busy talking to Auntie Eileen about her mother. Oh dear.

So I stayed in the den minding Craig.

Then I took Zita for a before dinnertime walk and when we got home Niamh was here.

But when she went to visit Sach I went with her. Right in the car.

So then I visited Sach’s apartment. And Miss Tarryn was there too.

So it was a just for lovely ladies night for us. Ha.

And when we got home it was just the right time to watch the detective program. Ha.

And everybody said I was just perfect at Sach’s house.

Because I am very polite young lady.

And after a little nap with Zita on the comfy sofa it was time for us to go to bed. Ha.
