It was not so cold this morning. Just some sometimes snow.
So I could stay out to smell everything, everywhere so I could be a very good badger helper. Ha
After that I took Zita on a very long all over our neighbourhood walk.
And we met lots and lots of other dogs too. Ha. That is a good walk.
I was very polite. So were the other dogs too.
Then when we got home Zita and I had our breakfast before we went to work.
We had lots of work to do.
Because tomorrow Zita goes to Dublin. On an aeroplane. My goodness.
To see her mother in that hospital. My goodness me.
So I was her very best helper. That is my very best job.
Niamh was teaching little children again at our own neighbourhood building. All day.
I did not have time to have breakfast with Craig this morning because I was way too busy helping Zita. Oh well.
Festis and Furrgus
We were rudely awakened by the noise of machinery on the side street.
When we peered out through the curtains there was a half dozen or so trucks busy attending to something.
So after a quick round of toast and jam we went forth to investigate.
Apparently the electricity and the poles needed some sort of immediate attention. We did not linger.
Having roused ourselves we continued our scouring of the neighbourhood before attempting a decision about breakfast.
And we realized that we had not ventured over the bridge to indulge our taste for porridge for ages.
So it was an easy decision to mount an expedition to Oat Couture for a most filling breakfast.
And then we tried to visit that lovely chocolatiers just down the street, but it has closed.
Now that is a loss to the neighbourhood.
So to assuage our disappointment we went to that Mister Puff’s at Landsdowne and bought a box of their efforts home.
While returning we noticed that the hydro equipment was still on the street and fully occupied.
So we cautiously detoured around them.
So when we arrived home it was just in time for afternoon nap.
While we were out, Lochlainn telegraphed Dugal to beg him to courier some cookbooks over to Tiroram.
As soon as humanly possible. For cook and her assistants.
He says it is to safeguard his digestion.
So that took up most of our afternoon let me tell you.
Off went, Spanish, Italian, Persian, Indian, Chinese, Ethiopian and whatever other cookbooks were on display, at the JD Adams culinary store.
We explained the situation, perhaps Furrgus embellished it just a little, but it made their day the very helpful lady said.
And they even arranged for the books dispatched post haste to Lochaber.
I think she was worried about Lochlainn’s survival.
Miss Tara would have been proud of us.
Miss Pancake
When we stopped work for lunch Craig and not had any breakfast.
So he had two new toasts with jam for lunch.
And he pout the especially delicious jam from France on top.
Everybody from all over make jams and they all taste different. I do not know why.
Maybe it is a secret. Maybe.
I got one of the too toasted bits. Those are very crunchy so they are my favourites.
Then I before I went back to work I had my own lunch.
We did not go for a lunchtime walk because of our very long good morning walk.
But I was extremely brave this afternoon because when I went in the den there was a dangerous snake there.
Right on the floor. In front of our television. So I barked and barked at it so everybody would know about it.
So Craig came right in to help me. But it was only one of his too many wires.
But it looked like a nasty bite everybody snake.
So Craig said I was very very brave. And I got a treat. Ha.
Then it was time for my afternoon nap.
On my comfy chair.
Then when Craig went in the den I followed him so I could mind him.
And have the rest of my nap on the very comfy sofa. Ha.
When Niamh came home I woke up right away. So I could keep her company too.
When we were looking out the window we saw a dog in the park who had its own wagon.
Because it was very old and could not walk so very far anymore.
So he gets in his wagon when he gets too tired.
Just like my friend Craig. Oh well.
But just like that I had to take Zita for a before dinnertime walk.
Because the rascal ladies work was all finished for today.
It is a big job being a dog in my house.
And when we got home it was muddy paws bath time.
I was such a good bathtub dog I got treats.
Then Zita went off to do some shopping so Craig and Niamh will not just starve away into nothing when she is in Ireland.
So I went back in the den to finish my before dinner nap.
Before I came here Miss Poppy was always in charge when Zita was away from home. Dugal told me.
Zita said I will be in charge too. When I am a little older.
Because it takes a lot of experience to be in charge of my family. It is known.
After we had our together dinner, and we had fat tortellinis.
Then Zita had to pack her bags for her trip to far away Dublin. Oh dear.
So we did not watch any detective programs tonight.
Then we went to bed.
