Miss Pancake
After my breakfast I minded Zita while she talked to Auntie Eileen about their mother.
She is still in the hospital in way far away Dublin. My gracious me.
Then I minded Niamh when she came up stairs.
And then Niamh and I drove Zita to her downtown rascal ladies office.
Then we came home and I got Craig up. Ha.
When Niamh got her good clothes on she went to her beautiful Trees store.
So I had to mind Craig all by myself. That is not such a very hard job.
When he had his another cup of coffee he had two toasts. And they were different.
One was a peanut butter toast and the other was a jam toast. My goodness.
I did not know you could have different toasts at the same time. That is a very good idea.
Maybe it was Craig’s own idea. Maybe.
I had a very good time as Sach’s house last night.
I was very polite. Everybody told me so.
I even got right up on her big bed.
And I brought my very own toys to show her.
Because she bought some of them for me.
That was because we are friends ever since I got to my own family.
And I even had my other dinner there.
Then I came home.
Because I had to mind Craig and Zita.
Today after our toasts we went in the den and I helped Craig find some wires.
In a box with all the wires in the world. I do not know why he has them.
So I had a nice nap on the comfy sofa.
And when it was my lunchtime Craig woke me up. So I would not miss it.
Furrgus and Festis
We were not wanting to eavesdrop, but we heard Mrs. T talking to her sister about their mother.
She will apparently be staying in the hospital longer than expected.
And it seems as if Mrs. T will fly over to give her sister a hand and to check in with her father.
Any difficulties with far away relatives is always an anxiety filled situation.
Just look at Dugal stepfather contesting the old Laird’s will, or us and our very active Cousin Morag.
We headed out to confirm the perimeter after a bite or two of toast, only to find that it was raining.
So we returned to get our sou’westers and set forth again. This time prepared for the weather.
Speaking of which, another snow storm is about to hit the Isles. My goodness.
Apparently Morag is still in Edinburgh, holed up in her rooms in the Balmoral.
Preparing to tough it out, with the assistance of room service and an accommodating concierge.
Lochlainn says that cook took advantage of the temporary lull in the weather to stock up on comestibles.
So she and her assistants are scouring cook books for inspiration.
Apparently our comments about Ramen and quesadillas have caused her some unease.
So she is taking the opportunity to rethink the castle’s menus.
Perhaps with less reliance on turnips and mutton.
And Lochlainn, with his dogs, finally got the recalcitrant cows into the mainland barn.
So all is battened down at Tiroam. Thank goodness.
We stopped by Bridgehead for a couple of banana muffins and a cup or two of hot chocolate.
And then wondered home. In the rain.
It was just like home.
Miss Pancake
After lunchtime I remembered that when Zita and Niamh are all finished their work, that we are going to visit my nice Doctor.
So I can get my last do not get sick shots. That is a good idea.
I went outside a lot. But Craig would not come outside with me.
Because he did not want to get soggy. That was not so nice.
So I stayed outside by myself. Too bad for him.
Then I had my afternoon naps. On my chair.
Mister Tom came to visit us this afternoon.
And he brought some brand new detective programs to watch.
And we gave him some brand new empty ones. Ha.
I said a very polite hello before I went back to sleep.
Then I woke up.
Because Zita and Niamh came home to take me to my appointment. With my Doctor Smith.
We went in the car. Car rides are my favourite.
And when we got home it was everybody’s dinnertime.
Then Miss Tarryn came over. And she brought ice cream.
So Craig had ice cream while we watched the detective program.
Before we went to bed.
