Miss Pancake
Because I heard something.
But when I got there I could not find anything. Oh dear.
I went outside to check on everything for my friends the Badgers but there was nothing close to my house.
And it was not even cold today.
So when I came in it was time for Zita and I to have our breakfasts.
Then we looked out the window when Mister Furrgus and Mister Festis went out to make sure the neighbourhood was still safe.
Then they always go up to the busy street for their another next breakfast.
And they go to different restaurants all the time. My goodness me.
And they nearly always bring back tasty food.
Unless they ate it all on the way home.
My cow started to come a little bit apart.
But my friend Zita has a special machine and she fixed him all up. Ha.
I was very happy.
Because Cowy helps me run as fast as can be.
Sometimes I can even fly. Ha.
Then Niamh was all dressed and had to go to the Trees store early today.
Because she had to open the door.
So we drove her there so she would not be late.
Then Zita and I went to our giant farm.
So we could practice beside her walking. So we walked all over.
But the cows were still in their very very big barn. So I could not say hello to them. Oh well.
And I got lots of liver treats for nice walking.
But when we got home I had to have another bath. Right in the bathtub.
Because I got a little bit way way too dirty at the farm. Oh well.
But then I was all squeaky clean again.
Then it was time for Zita to go to the other not so close groceries store.
And it was time for my lunch at the very same time. Ha.
After lunchtime I had my nap.
But Craig said that I would be more comfortable on my own bed.
But that was not so very true.
Too bad for me.
Furrgus and Festis
Everyone was well awake when we went on morning patrol.
In spite on Miss Dog’s suspicions we could find no miscreants about, although we extended the search.
Fortuitously that brought us to the Bridgehead corner, just in time for fresh chocolate muffins and hot chocolate.
Now early this morning we had a rather panicked call, on the telephone, from Lochlainn.
He wanted to warn us that Cousin Morag is considering running for leadership of the Scottish Nationalist Party.
Well that would put the fox among the chickens I do say.
With the unexpected retirement of Mrs. Sturgeon, the post is vacant.
And upon hearing the opinions of potential candidates, she is contemplating throwing her hat into the ring.
Dugal is flumixed.
It would be nice to have some kith in charge, possibly resolving the misunderstanding between Festis and His Majesty’s Secret Services.
But on the other hand the Blackthorn-Badgers has avoided politics since the disastrous situation with great great great grandfather Maoldònaich and that noxious Prince Regent.
Apparently there is to be a ZOOM meeting on Dugal’s phone to ascertain the clan’s position on this.
Now no one is under the illusion that this will make a whit of difference on Morag’s decision, but there might be monetary considerations to address.
And how much of it might be deductible.
Families. What can I say?
Hence our occasional reliance on an occasional excess of fine dining as a distraction. Ahh well.

I was having a very lovely sleep when all of a sudden the Dragons started singing. So loudly I had to nearly wake up.
Dugal told me it is because it is Mister Saint David’s Day.
And that is the very special day for the Welsh people everywhere. Even here in my home.
Craig and Emmet are David’s too. My goodness me.
But they are not from there. Just their other names.
And all the dragons are from far away Wales. Where everybody sings all the time.
And there is a fierce red dragon on their flag.
My goodness. I did not know that.
When you are a brand new dog there are lots of things you do not know. My goodness me.
Maybe I will learn all about them at my school. Maybe.
I did not help them with their singing because I did not know the words.
My friend far far away Poppy once told me that one time Emmet was in Wales.
To read one of their stories to everyone at that university.
But I did not want to tell her I did not know what a Wales was. But now I know.
Dugal says that our dragons will tell me about the very very old Welsh stories.
Even after I do not want to hear anymore. They are very proud of their stories he said.
General Rhome Clay has red running shoes so he is not so scary, but his friend Tre’r Ceiri is is very fierce.
But not as dangerous as he looks Dugal told me. That is good.
Festis told me that Dugal is much more dangerous than he looks. Oh my goodness.
Maybe I did not want to know that.
When Zita got home I found a potato right there in a bag. But I had to give it back.
Craig said maybe I wanted to make frites for my dinner.
Because Bouviers are from Belgium.
But I did not understand that.
It is confusing to be brand new. It is known.
When we got back from our before dinner walk Zita drove our car to Niamh’s store.
So she could borrow it tonight. Because it is the hoppy dance class night.
Then Zita walked home.
I stayed here to mind my friend Craig.
That was an easy job for me.
Then I helped her make a very tasty dinner.
And it early because it was only Craig and Zita for dinnertime tonight.
Then it was time to get on the comfy sofa so we could watch the detective program. Good for us.
