Day One Hundred and Fifty Four

Miss Pancake

It was a back to work day for us.

Because it is an all day long Monday. Oh well.

But I was very busy this morning.

After breakfast I had to mind Niamh while she wrote more university stories.

So I did not mind Zita until later. She was very busy talking to people. All day.

I minded Craig for a little while when he was reading his computer.

Then I took tuns minding Zita and Niamh.

I had a very busy morning.

Festis and Furrgus

It was a full on sunshine morning when we awakened. And it was only moderately cold.

Fortunately last night the snow banks on Holmwood were devoured by the monstrous snow clearing equipment.

So after morning patrol it was safe passage to Bank Street and the kindly folks at the Wild Oat.

As we phoned first, our omelettes were only moments away from completion when we arrived.

We debated for awhile, but gave in to temptation and in addition we had the extra fried potatoes.

As the young Niamh says, You only Live Once.

The city had made remarkable efforts to clear away Bank Street, so with a judicious choice of streets we made it home stress free.

We did not even have to wear our insulated Wellingtons. So fortunately our feet did not smell upon our return.

Last night, Dugal upon seeing, for the first time, Miss Pancakes travelling accommodation, and the number of security devices it had, gave into thoughts of acquiring it.

In order to store his cache of Scotch.

But fortunately today, after some detailed measurements, it proved to be too small for the task he had in mind.

We also suggested that the idea smacked of a particular lack of trust in the household.

Which embarrassed him no end.

Ha! As our friends the Bouviers would say.

Miss Pancake

Everybody was so busy this morning, except for my friend Craig, I had to miss my second morning nap. My goodness me.

This morning when Mister Festis and Mister Furrgus got home after their breakfast, I was very busy helping their Uncle Dugal.

He was on his hands and knees, measuring my airplane box all over up and down.

They thought that this was quite a bit funny.

I could tell, because they did not ask if he needed their help, and just went into the kitchen and made some toasts.

But when they came back into the hall he had decided that it was way too small for all his roll around barrels.

So I just went back in the den to mind Craig.

That is an easy job for me.

Then our friend Sach came to visit and I took her and Niamh for a just around here lunchtime walk.

And we met lots of dogs too. I was very polite.

A man thought that I was another Doodle dog, but a lady told him that I was a beautiful lady Bouvier dog.

From very far away in Flanders. Ha

When we got home it was just in time for my own lunch. Craig got it for me.

Because Niamh and Sach went for a longer walk.

Craig had fat round toasts full of holes for his lunch. And he put strawberry jam on top.

And it was the very tasty from far away Italy jam. And I got a little bit of each tasty toasts.

Then it was time for my afternoon nap.

So I just got up on the comfy sofa and went to fast fast asleep.

I did not even wake up a little until Zita was finished all her rascal ladies work for today.

We had a delicious chicken for our dinnertime. But I did not have any.

I could only smell it cooking in our oven. Too bad for me.

Because I have to be nearly all grown up before I can have the very tasty people food. Or I might get a sick tummy.

That is why I have special for puppies food. It is very tasty too.

At nighttime when Craig is getting ready for bed Zita washes her face and brushes her teeth.

Then she brushes my teeth too.

And I have my own just for Pancake toothpaste.

And it tastes like chicken. Ha. That is a good toothpaste.

After dinner it was time for us to watch our detective program.

From the very comfy sofa.

Then when everybody is too tired we can go to bed.

That is a good time for me.
