Miss Pancake
As soon as we were all awake Zita had lots and lots of stuff on her telephone.
From Ireland. Oh my goodness me.
So her mother had her her operation and was so awake Zita talked to her on the telephone.
But she was very sleepy because of the medicine.
So Zita did not talk to her for a long time.
She talked to Auntie Eileen instead.
Niamh was up very early too. Because she is writing a big story for her university.
But after Zita talked to everybody and Niamh had her breakfast we took her to her trees store.
And then Zita and I went to our farm to practice nice walking.
But we met Zita’s friend there.
And she was walking too. But she did not have a dog.
And I did not understand her so very well.
Because she is from the too hard to understand part of Ireland.
Away in Donegal. Too bad for me.
So we did not do so much practicing today. Just listening.
When we got home I had another bit of a bath. For my dirty feet. Oh well.
My friend Craig was talking to his old friends on his computer. When we got home.
But he ate all the croissants when I was out at the farm. Practising my nice waiting.Too bad for me.
But he saved all the crumbs in a plate. Just for me. Ha.
It is good to have friends. Especially friends with croissants.
This morning two more of my little teeth came out.
Soon all my teeth with be big dog teeth. Ha.
Then Zita went for a long walk with her friend Susan. I did not go because I was minding Craig .
I had a bit of a nap. But every time I heard a car door I got up to see if it was anyone there to see me.
But it was only an all lost car.
Then a man left a big box for us.
So Craig and I stayed at the watching window. To guard it.
Because sometimes nasty people want to take boxes that are not even theirs. Oh my goodness me.
But together we were very fierce minders. Ha.
Furrgus and Festis
Well Mrs. Kavanagh got through the operation compos menti thank goodness.
But she was pretty groggy when Zita spoke to her in the hospital. Which was to be expected.
Anesthesia alway made me a bit too talkative let me tell you.
Thankfully the Maharani’s physicians were discreet and nothing of that particular adventure ever appeared in print.
But enough of that.
And since we have heard nothing from Tiroam, which is a Good Thing, the three of us went off to Little Victories.
It is that time of year when the sap is flowing and the fresh stocks of maple syrup have arrived.
So the specialty maple coffee is available.
So needless to say as soon as our duties were completed we were off.
While the shop was a bit crowded we got seated near instantly and the aforementioned coffee appeared.
To which we added on a baker’s dozen doughnuts. Obviously.
There are advantages to Dugal’s compulsive over tipping.
We walked home, keeping to the sunny side of the streets where the snow has already vanished.
The subtle notices of the oncoming of spring. Thank goodness.
Miss Pancake
I was fast asleep on the brown comfy chair when I heard Zita outside.
Craig said that I am big enough to sit on that chair. But not the others. Oh well.
Then he washed his hair so he would not be dirty.
You cannot be dirty in our house. It is the rule.
Then I took my friend Zita for a nice before dinner walk.
It was a very long walk. All the up to a very big school.
So then I was dirty again, so I went back into the bathtub.
I minded Craig, Zita and Niamh at dinnertime. But I fell fast asleep under the table.
After that Craig had to find a new detective program for us to watch.
Because the ghost detective program was all finished.
That was not even so scary a program.
We did not stay up late because we have to go my school tomorrow morning.
But we did my homework lots of times this week. Good for us.
