Day Two Hundred and Forty Four

Miss Pancake

I had a very nice morning.

After Zita and I had our breakfast Niamh came upstairs and then we all went outside so we could have together coffees.

Then Craig was all dressed and Zita went to Mister IKEA’s store so I minded Craig and Niamh.

But it was a very beautiful day outside so Niamh and I went into the front yard.

And we sat on our own swing. Me too.

And we watched everyone and they could not see us because of our beautiful bushes.

And we even did some nice walking.

Niamh and I stayed outside until Zita came home.

Because it was a beautiful day all day today.

Zita brought back Mister IKEA’s very tasty cinnamon buns for me and Craig. Ha.

After lunchtime Zita and Niamh went downstairs to make their sewing room neat and tidy.

It is a big job. Because they took down two bags of chips. Oh dear.

But I cannot go to the basement yet.

So I had to stay upstairs and keep Craig company.

But he got me two treats. I told him that I am old enough to visit the basement.

But he said the basement is too dangerous for young dogs like me.

Maybe because Emmet’s room is full of very big swords and pointy spears. Maybe.

So I just had my afternoon nap on my favourite comfy chair. Oh well.

Too bad for them.

They stayed downstairs all afternoon.

Because they found lots and lots of extra things for us to give away.

And they found our very own favourite Alphonse alligator. He was fast asleep in our basement.

But we did not give him away.

Because you do not give friends away. It is known.

He went into the patio to scare away the nasty squirrels away from our beautiful flowers. Ha.

Before dinner I won the toilet paper game. Ha.

Zita and Niamh tried to catch me. But they could not. Because I was too fast. Ha.

Then Zita and Niamh took the all full up car to the store for people who need free things.

When they were gone Craig asked me where the Badgers were.

Because they were not here.

Oh my goodness gracious me. I knew where they went.

Dugal asked me to tell everybody.

But I forgot to tell anybody. Oh dear.

So I told him that this morning the badgers went on a picnic. All of them.

Because it is a holiday at the castle in far away Scotland.

But Festis and Furrgus could not go there for the party. I do not know why. Nobody will tell me.

So they had their own party here.

Because it was a beautiful as could be day.

And they got Miss Katie’s restaurant to fill up their picnics basket with very tasty treats.

And even some nice wines.

And Dugal rented a car so they could go to a not too far away beautiful park.

And have a picnic and a very nice relax.

And put their feet in the little river. Ha. That is a good relax.

Craig and Zita and Niamh did not mind I forgot to tell everybody. That is good.

And they brought a swimming pool home.

And it was for me. Oh my gracious me.

Now when I get too hot I can put my feet in the water, just like my friends the badgers. Ha.

And I am a very good water digger.

And Niamh put my favourite ball in the water and I had to rescue it.

But I did. Too bad for her.

Then it was time for everyone’s dinner.

Even Miss Emily came too.

Because we had Zita’s very delicious outside cooked hamburgers for dinner.

And after dinner we did not watch the television program because everyone talked and talked and talked.

I had a lovely nap under the dining room table on Zita’s feet.
