Day Two Hundred and Forty Three

Miss Pancake

It was not so very hot today.

So after our breakfast Zita and I went for a homework walk. And we saw all the beautiful flowers.

Then we drove Niamh to her lovely shop.

When we got home Craig was talking to this friends.

And I saw Mister Paul and Mister Tom. Right on the flat computer.

Then we had a visitor. And it was a lady with a big bag of presents for us.

And they were special tasty food from way way far away China. My goodness me.

And a beautiful thank you card too.

That lady’s parents were visiting her from way far away China, to look at the beautiful flowers.

But then forgot where they hid their car. So Zita and our fast car found the lost car for them.

They were very very happy. So they gave us presents. My goodness me.

My friend Niamh loves that kind of food.

Especially when she comes home very late and forgot to eat dinner.

And then she makes that tasty food so she will not be starved all away.

But then she eats it with sticks. I do not know why.

After that nice lady left it was a make the house spick and span day. Oh well.

And Zita had to use that very noisy floor cleaner machine. I do not like that machine very much.

But Craig stayed in the den and made it very tidy. And he even put things in the garbage.

Then after Zita cleaned the side yard I went and had a nice outside nap.

Furrgus and Festis

We opened the front door to a beautifully sunny day, with the added inducement of a moderate temperature.

So with nothing to deter us we, opted for an early patrol, followed by an excursion over the bridge to breakfast at the Life of Pie.

We ordered three of their Farmers Special breakfast - three eggs, bacon, ham, home fries and several waffles, some with blueberries, some with maple syrup.

Upon finishing we had to loosen our belts, at least I did.

Then were told that our pies, which we had ordered yesterday, had just popped out of the oven and were ready for us.

The staff kindly packed all eight of them for us and we were off home.

Needed to get them into the freezer before Niamh and her friends found them.

For slight thing our Niamh packs it away, especially if ice cream is involved.

We have nothing from either Morag or the Foundation’s lawyers.

It is a long weekend over there so we hope to be undisturbed until at least Tuesday. With luck.

When we arrived home there was a young woman at the front door, talking to Mrs. T, not wishing to disturb them we strolled over to the near pond and relaxed in the sunshine.

Ten or fifteen minutes later the coast was clear and we deposited the afore mentioned pies in the basement freezer.

Upon returning to upstairs we were informed that the visitor was actually the young lady who lost her car at the Tulip Festival.

She and her parents, who were visiting from China, were quite beside themselves and stopped and asked Zita where they were.

Trying to get their bearings I suppose.

So naturally Mrs. T bundled all of them into our car and conducted a successful search for the errant vehicle.

They, in gratitude, brought Mrs. T two boxes of Chinese special after dinner treats. How very thoughtful of them.

Those are just the sort of treats that young Niamh so appreciates.

Perhaps they will distract her from the new cache of pies. But probably not.

Miss Pancake

Zita’s brother was nice walking with Miss Luna, in his forest in very far away Spain, so he called her.

Miss Luna must have gone to school too.

Because when uncle Ciaran whistles she comes right away.

I do not know how to do that.

Maybe there is a whistling class we could take. Maybe.

And I would have a whistling medal too. Ha.

They talked for a very long time and I thought that the clean the house time was over.

But when they finished talking Zita got her noisy machine again.

So I went in the living room for a afternoon nap.

On the very clean floor. Ha.

Then Zita and I went in the car to bring a big box back to Professor Jill’s house.

I stuck my head out the window. For the whole way.

And we visited Susan too.

And we practiced our walking again.

And Zita said that I was brilliant for the whole time. Ha. Good for me.

That Mister Holden is now in Türkiye.

My goodness me. I did not know that turkeys had their own place.

Uncle Bill will not like that. Oh dear.

Mister Holden saw a giant building with as beautiful as could be ceilings.

But he did not see any turkeys. Not even one. That is a silly place.

I stayed here to mind Craig when Zita went to the grocery store, then she went to the lovely shop and got Niamh.

And she got Tarryn too.

And we had hotdogs with everything right on top of them.

Then Niamh and Tarryn got all dressed up.

Because they were going to a party with Sach.

Craig and Zita and I watched a new detective program.

Because the other one was always the same. Oh well.
