Zita and I sat outside in our side yard for a long time this morning.
Then I went in our bedroom and got Craig awake. Ha. That is a very good job for me.
Then Zita went to the empty house to give that cat some food.
So Craig had his very first coffee by himself.
But yesterday Zita went to Mister IKEA’s store so we had his one of his very delicious cinnamon buns too. Ha.
But when Zita got home she found the cleaning the floors machine and decided it was a spic and span the house day. Oh well.
But when Zita talked to her mother and father I minded her. That is a good job for me.
My friend Niamh did not have breakfast with me this morning.
Because she was still in far away. With Tarryn and Sach in the noisy Jeep.
But Zita told me that they are coming home today. That is a good idea.
And now two of Niamh’s friends are going to sleep here tonight. In the basement.
Because hotels are too too expensive when you are going to a far away university.
So Zita went to tidy up Emmet’s room.
But it was nearly full up with Niamh’s extra stuff. Oh my goodness.
So she made it neat and tidy. But I had to stay upstairs and mind Craig.
Too bad for me.
Festis and Furrgus
Festis and Furrgus
We have quite recovered from Bloomsday.
And the atmosphere is thankfully clear, so after our perusal of the property, we felt well enough to chance a stroll along Bank Street.
We flipped a coin. Not that Uncle Dugal would have one mind you.
We arrived at Cantina Gia full of expectations.
So it was the stack of blueberry pancakes topped with sour cream and a side of Italian sausages for my brother and I.
Dugal, insisting on being classic, ordered the Eggs Benedict with prosciutto di Parma. Twice.
So much for moderation.
The subtext of our decision was the necessity to talk to Cousin Morag.
Experience has taught us that these sorts of conversations are best done on a full stomach.
Fortunately when we tried to contact her on the Zoom she had been off with the dogs since morning and had not yet returned.
Apparently someone had been fly fishing on the property. They must be very brave or very foolish.
We are sure Morag and Lochlainn will find out which. And deal with it accordingly.
Won’t they be surprised when they appear in the Assizes and find Morag is the Procurator-fiscal.
With a guilty sigh of relief we left a message with cook.
Miss Pancake
I helped Zita make a delicious cake today. It was the special round one, with a hole right in the middle. Ha.
That is where you can put extra icing, or maybe ice cream. Ha.
We made it because we are having guests. And you cannot just give them old biscuits. It is known.
Then when we were all finished I minded Craig in the den.
He was watching the noisy cars race. So I had a nice relax.
When Niamh came she was so tired that Craig and Zita and Niamh had their dinner before my dinner.
They had some more of our extra hamburgers.
Then Niamh had a nice relax downstairs and we watched a very funny detective program.
