Day Two Hundred and Eighteen

Miss Pancake

Oh my goodness what a very busy day I had. My goodness me.

Right after Zita and I had our together breakfast we went to the farm.

Before anyone else was there. Ha.

And it was another just full of sunshine day.

And I sniffed all the grass. All over.

I could smell those cows but I could not see any of them.

Zita maybe they were still in their barn and all fast asleep. Too bad for them.

And when we got home Niamh was waiting for us.

Because right away we had to go to a far away garage and get Sach.

Because that garage had to fix Sach’s noisy Jeep.

So we brought her back to our house so she could have some wake up coffee.

Then Craig was awake too.

So I had everybody to mind.

And they were all in different rooms. My goodness. That is a hard job.

Then Niamh went to her lovely shop and Sach went to her work.

So then I had only Craig and Zita to mind.

Fist I minded Craig when he made his next coffee.

He had his very favourite oatmeal cookie for his breakfast. I helped him.

Then I went into our office to keep Zita company while she talked to some Rascal Ladies. That is a good job for me.

Festis and Furrgus

We had just arisen when Mrs. T and that rambunctious Pancake were off to the Experimental Farm for their morning constitutional.

Our Niamh was up early also as she needed to meet Miss Sach at her garage where her Jeep was being attended to.

When Mrs. T appeared they exchanged positions and that Niamh and her friend Pancake and they were off to retrieve Miss Sach.

Amidst this hubbub we snuck out before we were caught in it.

As we had not checked the neighbourhood for several days Dugal insisted on a complete scouring was in order.

Upon assuring ourselves that all was correct, hunger called and we went up to Bank Street.

It had been too many days since we had had one of their fabulous omelettes so off to The Wild Oat it was.

Breakfast gave us the opportunity to construct a seamless explanation as to why Cousin Morag was not invited to Dugal’s elevation.

We had to write it down as were were sure to be grilled, and separately, so to ensure our safety we had to get it straight.

So, on returning home we, with trepidation, called Tiroam. Cook’s second assistant answered.

And we asked to talk to Lochlainn. Just to check the lay of the land.

And much to our astonishment and gratitude neither he or Morag were there.

So we asked to talk to Cook.

Well she informed us that Morag had driven down to Crew to pickup her new Speed 12.

And Lochlainn had accompanied her to drive back her coupé

They had been away for four days, dropping in to attend the coronation.

As she was not even in Scotland she could not have attended.

Festis instantly said that we had been looking for them, and unfortunately had not known they were out of the country.

With that lie firmly planted, he told her of Dugal’s new dukedom. Her comment was limited to And About Time…

We asked her to spread the news and to tell the hotel in Acharacle that The Duke of Oban was picking up all of tonight’s tabs.

After a bit of tut tuting she asked it that included food as she needed to plan dinner.

Dugal said that it was an inclusive offer, but no seconds, or scotch older than 12, mind you

Now why Morag needed a brand new Bentayga was beyond us, as the old one was less than a year old.

Now there must be a story there that we must get on top off.

The best defence is a good offence .

With that trial a bit under control we retired to our early afternoon nap.

Miss Pancake

I was so busy in our Rascal Ladies office I nearly missed my lunchtime. My goodness.

But when we came out to use the other computer Craig reminded me. So I did not starve away.

Then it was just the right time for my afternoon nap.

It is alway nice to have a nice nap after you are all full up.

So I got on my very favourite watching chair.

And when I looked out my window there were even more beautiful tulips.

Maybe they are some of the ones that nice Queen gives us. Maybe.

Then I went back to work with Zita. That is a good job.

And I stayed there until we were all finished our work.

Now we have some very big heavy stones. Maybe we can build a castle.

Castles are always built of very big stones.

Craig showed me pictures. My goodness me.

Some people are building their very own castle. With big stones too.

But they are in very far away France.

They are not here. So I cannot visit them. Oh well.

Niamh went to the hard questions restaurant for dinner.

So we watched our spies program when we finished dinner.

And then it was just time to go to bed. Ha.
