Day Two Hundred and Twenty One

Miss Pancake

We did not even move our curtains this morning.

Because the so much sunshine made it as bright as could be. Even with the curtains closed. My goodness.

Because it was so beautiful nobody had a sleep in.

But Niamh and I had to drive Zita downtown again.

Because she has to talk to people who want to work with her.

But it was a open windows ride. Those are my favourite car rides.

Because in the wind I have flappy ears. Ha.

When we got home Craig had already had his first too much coffee. My goodness.

Then Niamh went downstairs to get all dressed in nice clothes.

Because she is going to have coffee with a man to talk to him about nice jobs.

Maybe a job in the very old just for the government building. My goodness.

Now everybody wants going to work for money jobs.

Except for  Craig.

Because now he is so old the government gives him money not to go to work. Ha. That is a good job.

I have lots and lots of important jobs.

But I did not have to ask anyone to get my job.

My family just found me on Niamh’s computer.

And they knew right away that I would be perfect for all their jobs. Ha. That was true.

And when I got here I knew right away what my jobs were.

Because when you have your own family you just know what your jobs are.

But sometimes there are special jobs that Zita asks me to do.

Like helping her watch the scary detective programs.

Or not digging big holes in her beautiful garden. That is a very hard job for me.

After Niamh went to her meeting Craig and I had our toasts.

Then I noticed that my watching chair was empty.

So it must have been time for my nap. Ha.

Festis and Furrgus

We had to find our sporty aviator sunglasses before venturing outside this morning. It is evident that summer is here.

Mrs. T had even more interviews this morning so she had to go to her downtown office.

So Miss Niamh and her waggly tailed companion drove her there, just as we were setting out on our morning patrol.

We left the old ones to hold the fort.

Now we have been given to understand that our Niamh is meeting a man she interviewed while he was running for office a few years ago.

Now he is the administrator of the Parliamentary Precinct and he remembered our Niamh when she said she was looking for a new job.

Now who could forget our Niamh I must say.

And so today they are meeting for coffee at, of all places, the downtown Little Victories.

We should have reminded her not to order the cream filled doughnuts as they are prone to disastrous squirting.

We had our fingers crossed.

We decided that as it was so beautiful out that we should have our breakfast on The Wild Oat’s patio. And we did.

With weather such as ours one cannot waste the opportunity.

So, with nothing pressing, we took the canal way home, taking in the endless beds of tulips along our route.

The Tulip Festival starts today and it seems as if they shall have beautiful weather for it, thankfully.

But that means the neighbourhood will be filled with people vainly trying to find a place to park.

We shall have to be mindful of that whilst on patrol, as they  become dangerously preoccupied with nonexistent parking spaces.

But not to be outdone we noticed, upon our return, that we have small field of Forget Me Nots, right here in our front yard.

We should put a sprig or two in our bonnets.

Miss Pancake

After I had my own lunch I helped Craig with the peanut butter and honey sandwiches.

Then I had an outside nap until I was a bit too hot.

So I came in and had a lie down on the floor beside Craig.

He was just reading his book about the very long time ago detective.

But there dogs in the book who can find anything just with their noses. Just like me. Ha.

Maybe I could be a detective dog too.

And Zita could be my helper person. Ha. That is a good idea.

Then I had a very long fight with my squid.

But I was very fierce today so I won.

Then I went back to fast asleep.

When it is a Craig and me day we always always have a nice relax. All day.

But before dinner I heard something outside, so I ran as quickly as the winds and Craig came with me.

But it was only two silly birds fighting on top of my fence. But when I ran out they flew away. Ha.

Then Craig and I stayed outside. So they would not come back.

When the fast car came home Zita and Niamh and Tarryn were with it.

Because it was a long week everyone decided not to cook.

So Niamh went to the restaurant right up the street where they only make very delicious food from India.

And she brought lots of it home and everybody had a delicious dinner.

Then Craig and Zita and I watched the spy program.

But I fell asleep again. Oh well.

Craig and Zita did not mind.

Because we are friends.
