Day Two Hundred and Twenty Five

It was not so warm when Zita and I got up.

So we only did a bit of practice walking after our breakfast.

Then my friend niamh was all awake too.

But we had to drive Zita downtown again.

And it was not even her downtown day. That is not all right.

When we got home I minded Niamh until Craig was all awake too.

The mailman brought Niamh a special letter. And it was from Mister Holden.

And he and his friends are in another very very far away place. Oh my.

And there are big cows there, just having a rest in the street. My goodness.

So he sent Niamh a letter so she would know where he is.

And that he had not been captured by pirates.

Then it was time for our fast car to take Niamh to the lovely shop. So it did.

Then it was a Craig and Pancake day.

When Craig had his next coffee he made us some very crunchy toasts for breakfast.

With lots of that very tasty jam from France.

Then I had a nap.

Going to the make you beautiful store makes you very tired. It is known.

I am still very puffy, and I still smell like a beautiful flower. Ha.

Furrgus and Festis

Well Miss Pancake’s trip to the beauty salon was a great success.

Life must be much clearer with now that her obstructing bangs have disappeared.

And they trimmed all her feet so they are not even a bit scraggly.

When Zita got home, she was exceedingly happy when she saw the results of the trimming I must say.

But I doubt she was as happy this morning, as she had to go to her downtown office again.

And tonight she has an after hours meeting also. That seems a bit much to us.

It was an exceptionally cloudy day so the crowds attending the Tulip Festival rather thinned out. Which was a relief.

Our morning reconnoiter found nothing suspicious, so we went off the always reliable Wild Oat for a relaxing breakfast.

We picked up two newly baked loaves of raisin bread for our midnight toast.

Dugal is still dealing with Murdo, Murdo etc. about his Ducal responsibilities, so he did not accompany us today.

Fortunately the doughnut supply was renewed yesterday.

When we got home, there was only Craig and a sleeping dog, so we let it lie.

Mister Holden sent Niamh a registered letter.

Well it has been a while since I saw one of those.

It seems as if he is in India.

As I remember Dugal still renews his membership in The Bombay Gymkhana Club.

Though I doubt the young lads would be interested in such a stuffy old place.

But it is quite the place for watching the test matches. And the food is quite spectacular.

At least it was the last time I was there, in ‘34 or ‘35 as I recall.

I was on my way to Ponaa, to preside over some courts martial, so I managed only a few days there.

Miss Pancake

I was so tired I almost forgot my lunchtime. But Craig woke me up.

And when he made his nearly the last too much coffee we had a cookie too.

I was a very good waiting dog. So I got the cookie crumbs. Those are my favourites.

Then I went outside because of the noisy bird.

Craig said it was a crow bird.

And those birds do not like squirrels either. Ha.

But they talk very loudly.

Then is was a bit windy so the crow went away. Oh well.

But I stayed outside and had a very nice nap.

Then it started to rain so I came inside to keep my friend Craig company.

And watch everything from my favourite chair.

It was a very good day for a relax.

Zita did not come home from work right away.

Because she had another meeting to go to.

And this was not even a go to downtown day. Oh my goodness me.

Maybe Craig will have to make dinner himself. Ha.

But Zita was not even too late.

So he did not have to make his peanut butter sandwiches.

Then I ran around all over the house, as fast as could be, but then it was time to watch the detective program.
