Day Two Hundred and Twenty

Miss Pancake

Not even one person had a sleep in today.

And after our breakfast Zita and did lots and lots of practice walking.

Then Niamh and I took Zita to her downtown office.

Because today is downtown office day.

Our fast car has windows that go right down when you just push a button. Oh my goodness me.

I did not know that.

The windows in our house do not do that.

And it was so beautiful outside I could put my whole head outside the car and not be a bit cold.

And I could smell everything in the world. Ha.

So we took the long way home. As a treat for me.

And when we got home Craig was all dressed too. My goodness.

Then Niamh had to talk to some people about a new job. Right on her computer.

So I had to be very quiet. And I was. Ha.

Then the fast car took her to her shop so she could sell people beautiful clothes.

And right then it was the time for me to have my morning nap.

So I had a right beside my friend Craig nap.

Until it was our lunchtime.

Then after my own lunch I helped Craig with the very delicious round toasts.

Then it was time for my after lunchtime nap.

I think everybody should have after lunchtime naps. The badgers do. It should be our rule.

Furrgus and Festis

Well we were blessed with another stunner of a day.

When we opened the curtains there were people actually fishing in the pond. Braver than us I say.

Festis roused Uncle and insisted that he accompany us.

From sad experience, we know that to recover from a day with the family lawyers of Murdo, Murdo and Murdo, a massive dose of fresh air and calories is required.

Almond cream croissants instantly sprang to mind.

So we hailed the nearest taxi and we were off to Art Is In Bakery.

Festis and I are still fiddle fit, after all the foolishness in the Falklands was not that long ago.

We were both there, I was liaison with the Gurkhas when Festis was 2IC of Invincible.

But it would have been a long galumph for Dugal. Hence the taxi.

Now, with all due respect to the several bakeries we frequent, the Almond Croissants here are beyond reproach.

As they say on the menu;

Chocolate Almond Croissant - A chocolate croissant which has been soaked in rum syrup, filled with almond cream, and topped with sliced almonds.

Now what could be more fulfilling than that, considering it was too early for brandy.

We ordered up a dozen and walked home, as Dugal insisted that the exercise was just the thing to placate his conscience.

There is no arguing with him once he has set his mind on something.

And now as he sits in the Lords that obstinance should prove challenging for HM’s government. Serves them right.

Miss Pancake

Craig and I had a very quiet afternoon.

It was so nice outside that we left the side door open, so sometimes I had an outside in the sunshine nap.

But mostly I stayed in my chair or sometimes under my dining room table.

It was a very good day for a relax.

After I had my second lunch Craig had a cookie. I cleaned the plate ever so well. Ha.

And then we went to the side yard so I could show Craig my favourite places to have comfy naps.

And then I fell asleep. Until my friend Zita came home.

She gave me an ice cube. Ha. I always chew them in my own box.

Niamh did not come home for dinner because she had dinner with her hoppity dance friends.

After our dinner we watched a lots of that spies program.

Because it was not so late.
