It was sleep in Sunday and everybody had a sleep in. Even me.
Early this morning I went in to the den and went fast asleep on my sofa. Ha.
And when Zita was all awake we had our own breakfast together.
And there was not even a bit of rain today. Ha.
And when Craig got up Zita still had her pyjamas on. Ha. That was a good sleep in Sunday.
And after Craig made the coffees Zita and I went to our farm to practice my running all around.
Last night Niamh was at the lake, with Tara. I saw the pictures.
And Mister Ryder was there too.
And today she was still at the beautiful cottage. With all the Mahoneys too.
Maybe today is the day to make the very delicious lemon cake.
Lemon cakes are Kathy’s favourite.
When I got home it was just the right time for my first lunch.
I was very hungry because running around makes you hungry. It is the rule.
But there were so many people at the farm today I had to be very care and not knock anybody down. Oh well.
But I had lots of fun anyway. And I put my head out the window all the way home.
And we saw even more people at our lake. Looking at all the beautiful flowers.
Furrgus and Festis
We thought of having a bit of a sleep in, along with the rest of the household, but as the weather was once again beautiful we decided to visit Poppy’s lake to see the tulips before the hordes arrived.
Our timing was perfect, our stomachs decided that it was time for breakfast as the buses started to arrive.
Since we were nearly almost there we took advantage of the weather and brunched the Pub Italia’s patio.
We ordered some bruschetta and a couple of the five cheese platters, plus a few Guinness, which they had on tap.
To say that we were replete would be an understatement.
We got back just as Mrs. T and young Pancake pulled into the driveway and were quite ready for our Sunday naps.
Miss Pancake
My friend Niamh is staying at the cottage again tonight.
Maybe they need another delicious cake. Maybe.
After my lunch I helped Craig get his hair squeaky clean. That is a easy job.
Then Craig and Zita and I went over and visited Lee and Mrs. Bruna and Mr. Lyndon.
Mister Lyndon was making his car as shiny as can be.
We sat outside and everyone had cold drinks. Me too. Ha.
Mrs. Bruna brought me a very big bowl of delicious water.
Because I was a bit hot.
And we stayed there for a long time. Telling stories.
Lee said that I should go to Italy and Greece to help them to dig their very interesting important holes.
But you cannot walk there. You have to find an aeroplane that knows the way.
And I have already been on lots of aeroplanes already.
So I do not have to go on another. Craig told me. That is good.
But then it started to be very rainy and we came home to our house.
And just like that it all over and it was all sunny again.
So Zita went out to make the garden beautiful.
Because the ground was now very soft. Because of the rain.
She did not want me to help her digging, so I stayed with Craig on my own comfy chair.
Too bad for her.
We had the hot chilli for dinner. That is a silly name for a dinner.
Then we watched the very good detective program with the two ladies in France.
Until we were too tired. So we went to bed..
