Day Two Hundred and Nine

Miss Pancake

It was sleep in Sunday today.

But Craig did not have even a little a sleep in.

Because Zita left the bedroom door open.

So I jumped right on the bed and gave him so many kisses he had to get up. Ha. Good for me.

Then he made the special coffee with the fluffy milk for Zita, when she was talking to her parents.

When he made his next coffee he had round toasts and I got crunchy oat cakes.

Last night when Zita came home she brought me a brand new toy.

Because somehow my cow got all chewed up. Oh dear. Too bad for me.

But now I have a giant bat. My goodness me.

And it is squeaky too.

Then Niamh came upstairs but she was not even a bit awake.

Because she was out until too late last night. Oh dear.

So she went back downstairs. Oh my.

Before lunchtime the fast car took Zita to do some important errands.

I stayed here to mind everybody.

Right from my own watching window.

Festis and Furrgus

Well we staggered home home, slightly before going on midnight patrol. And we considered that a major moral victory.

We had forgotten the amount of excess that a great restaurant can lull you into.

How can something as predictable as a hamburger turn into a deadly extravaganza.

Well Absinthe knows how.

But we survived, and were still capable of dessert and an aperitif, or two.

So arriving home, still capable of going on patrol was a significant victory. In our opinion anyway.

But this morning’s patrol was a test of our ability to recover, let me tell you.

And common sense insisted that we forgo breakfast this morning. We substituted a nap instead.

When Niamh came back upstairs we went in the fast car to find Tarryn. And when we got home we visited Zita.

She was outside getting our outside garden all ready for delicious vegetables.

Then Niamh and Tarryn had to go and do some important errands.

I could not go because it was my lunchtime and I did not want to miss my lunch.

Because my doctor said I was too skinny. That is why I get two dinnertimes. Ha.

Then it was time to mind Craig.

And have my afternoon nap at the same time.

Then it started to rain and just like magic everyone was back home. Right in my house. Ha.

And now we have our own very beautiful flowers.

In our own dining room.

Then I helped Zita fix some of her clothes. Right on the table in our office.

Miss Sach came to visit. But then they all went downstairs.

So I had to stay upstairs to mind Craig.

Because Zita had to go the the grocery store. Too bad for me.

Then Niamh and Tarryn and Sach went in the noisy Jeep to the Haven’s ice cream shop.

To get ice creams.

Maybe there will be a bowl for me to lick. Maybe.

Furrgus and Festis

Duty got the best of us and we successfully completed our late afternoon perusal of the block.

Our apatite had returned and not wanting to put an extra burden on Mrs. T, as the house was full of young ladies, we and our rain wear made it to Raman Ishiin without incident.

Nasty, cold, dreary and rainy days are exactly why ramen was invented.

So having dragged Uncle along, we three settled into one of their booths.

Soon the steamy vapours had cleaned our sinuses.

And we set about our dinners contentedly.

Knowing that we will have to be up in the middle of the night to connect with Morag and the rest of Tiroam as they welcome Beltane.

She is going to try live video all the celebrations to us.

Morag is always knee deep in her technology trying to keep us from losing touch with home. And home with us. We do bless  her.
