Day Two Hundred and Thirty Four

Miss Pancake

Today was a very exciting day for me.

And it was Craig’s Happy Birthday day too.

But I did not know that.

But when Zita said Happy Birthday to him I jumped right up on the bed and gave him happy birthday kisses. Ha.

And I helped make a very special cake for the happy birthday dinnertime.

And then I had an adventure.

Niamh and I took Zita to her downtown office in the fast car.

And I went right in the rascal ladies office with them.

And I went on the machine that goes up and down. And I was not even a bit scared.

And I went into Zita’s office and sat with her on her chair. Ha.

My goodness that was an adventure for me.

I even saw Miss Rocket’s own corner.

And her own box of toys.

But she was not at work today. Oh well.

Then Niamh and I went home and Craig was all dressed and awake.

Niamh was very busy.

Because she and Tarryn are selling lots and lots of their too many clothes.

On our special sell everything day.

And she made pictures to tell everyone where they should go to buy all the beautiful clothes.

She showed it to me. It was beautiful. Oh my goodness.

She said everyone is going to come and visit our front yard.

So I am going to be very busy minding my house.

Craig is not going to sell any of his clothes.

Because he only has the same all the time T-shirts and Scotsman’s shirts.

They are not so beautiful I think.

After Niamh talked to everybody on her phone she went to her lovely shop.

So I went over to my favourite comfy chair and I had my good morning nap.

Ha.

Festis and Dugal

It is Mr. T’s birthday today. If he is not careful he will soon be as old as we are.

The wonderful weather returned today, so after our quick look around the property we wondered over to the Mahoney’s to supervise the tree removal.

It was a shame, as that was a beautiful tree, but between the last ice storm and and the required repairs it came down this morning.

Mrs. Kathy was a bit distraught so we only stayed for a few moments.

So we went up to Bank Street to restore our humours.

Over many years we have found that, for us anyway, a good meal does wonders in reminding us how lucky we are.

So it was off for mushroom and cheese omelettes at the Wild Oat and then a small side trip to Cinnaholics to stock up on calories.

We bought a few extra for Dugal.

To fortify him for his call to the Foundation’s board, about Morag’s new request for funding.

She has now decided that the political situations in Edinburgh and London are irreversibly corrupt and that the Highlands must separate.

And has called for a founding meeting of the New GĂ idhealtachd Party at Tiroam on the twenty first of June.

The summer solstice naturally.

Well, as we expected, the other foot has dropped.

While we do have a certain sympathy for her quest, she should have asked us before committing the castle and especially cook to this grand meeting.

We have asked Lochlainn to make sure the “special “ storage room is well locked.

And to tell cook not to put out the good sherry or any crystal decanters.

Ahhh well - families.

Miss Pancake

When I finished my good morning nap it was lunchtime for Craig  and I.

Craig had a very big peanut butter and honey sandwich. And he put extra honey on it.

Because today is his birthday, and on your birthday you can have too much of everything. Ha. That is a good rule.

And after my lunch I went into my side yard and had a very nice nap in the lovely sunshine.

There was even a nice little wind so I did not get too hot right away. My goodness me.

Craig came outside with me. For his happy birthday relax.

This afternoon here was a nasty fly on my window. I could not catch it.

But Craig had the fly squishing machine and squished it. Ha. Silly flies.

Then a man brought us a package.

Craig says maybe it is a secret present.

Maybe it is from me.

Sometimes I get people secret presents and I do not even know about it. Ha. That is a good secret.

And Zita came home even before my dinnertime.

Because of the birthday party dinner. Oh my goodness.

But I was the very best kitchen helper.

Zita put my school medals up. Right on the kitchen wall, where everybody can see them. Ha.

Because not everybody gets such lovely medals.

Craig’s father has medals too. They are in the den. On the wall.

Cousin Ciara sent me a picture.

And in the picture Zita’s parents were reading my story. Ha.

So now they know I got medals from my school. Ha. That is good.

We had Niamh’s very delicious Tortellinis soup.

And then we had the nearly only whipped cream birthday cake.

And we finished it right right on our dining room table. My goodness me.

Then Miss Sach came over and she brought us presents, but I fell fast asleep under the dining room table.

Oh well. Too bad for me.
