Miss Pancake
But Zita had so much work to do that she went to our office anyway.
But we had our breakfast first. That was a good idea.
Then Niamh was awake and so was Craig. We were all awake.
But Niamh had to have a squeaky clean shower.
So she would not be as smelly as a skunk when she went to her shop. Ha.
But I minded Zita, until I heard the toasting machine.
Then I went in the kitchen to help Craig with the round toasts.
The man came to our house with boxes today.
And one was filled with some shoes for Zita. They were happy birthday shoes. Ha.
Then I went back in our office to keep Zita company.
When it was our lunchtime all our work was over, so we went out and practiced our nice walking.
And I got some special treats for being a very good listener. Ha.
There were some very noisy machines in our park. And there were trucks there too.
They had to make the grass all nice so we can have picnics right there, in our park. Ha.
When we came in it was my lunchtime.
That was good, because I am always very hungry after practicing my homework.
Then Niamh brought our car home and Zita took her to her lovely shop.
I did not go.
Because someone had to stay here and mind Craig. And it was me.
And I had a nice relax. Right on my watching chair.
The badgers told me that you should always a big relax after a tasty meal.
So I did too.
But I did not have the rum toddy. That is only for the badgers.
Furrgus and Festis
It was a spectacular day to be alive let me tell you.
When Festis and I left on morning patrol there was not a cloud in the sky.
And flowers were exploding in all the gardens, especially ours.
Thanks to Mrs. T.
And as of this morning we have not heard a word from Cousin Morag. As they say; small mercies.
Dugal was too preoccupied with his correspondence to look up from his phone.
We left him in the sticky hands of the family law firm.
Apparently becoming a Duke has an unexpected amount of paperwork attached.
So we went to Little Victories I had a few double espressos and more than a few pastries.
Festis had some café au lait, because he likes watching the design dissolve. I refused to ask.
We grabbed a couple of raspberry tarts and several cream doughnuts for Dugal.
Any extended conversation with our lawyers requires regular amounts of sugar and caffeine to keep you awake.
Well it does for us.
Miss Pancake
When I woke up Zita was back home but she stayed outside and talked to Mrs. Bruna for a long time.
And she brought brand new croissants and some just made bread.
But I could not help Craig eat those croissants.
Because Zita and I went in our fast car all the way to my little hospital to get my nasty bug medicine.
But I did not get any treats today.
Because all the nurses were as busy as could be. Oh well.
When we got home Zita had a squeaky clean shower too.
Because she and Kathy and more some lady friends are going out for a delicious dinner.
So she had to be very clean.
And tonight is Niamh is going with Sach to watch the hockey game.
With their friends and lots of treats.
So she will not be here for dinner either. It will be a Craig and Pancake night.
And Craig will have to make his very own dinner. Oh dear.
He is not such a very good cooker.
Sometimes even our toasts get way too cooked. Oh dear.
But I have my own food. So I will not be hungry.
When I looked out my window I saw little boats in our own pond.
And they were going very fast, all around the pond, by themselves. I did not watch for so long.
Because it was my dinner time.
Then it was time for Craig to make his dinner too.
We had two peanut butter and honey sandwiches.
But they were not very big sandwiches. Oh well.
Then we watched that hockey game too.
But I went to sleep.
