My goodness me, today is a holiday too.

But not for everybody. Just for Zita and me.
And it was a very beautiful day outside. Those are the very best day for holidays .

I am a very good relaxer.
So after our breakfast we went to our beautiful farm.
To practice my homework. And to do some fast running too.
But all my bee beautiful flowers turned into ghost flowers. Oh goodness me.
And all my feet got covered in sticky burrs.
But when we got home my friend Niamh took them all off. Ha.
And Craig was all awake too.
So I minded him when Zita drove Niamh to her shop.
Then she went to do some important errands, so Craig and I had very crunchy toasts for our breakfast.
Then it was time for my morning relax.
I am a very good relaxer.
Festis and Furrgus
We awoke to a stunning day.
As memories of winter danced in our minds we immediately knew not to lose such days in needless dilly dallying.
So all three of us went on a rather leisurely morning patrol. To take advantage of the weather.
And to discuss Cousin Morag’s machinations.
I checked yesterday’s weather at Genfinnin and even by Scots standards it was no a heat wave.
Thus confirming Festis’s unease.
Our conclusion was that she wanted, or needed Tiroam empty of witnesses.
Our next conclusion was that whatever it was it will prove interesting we have no doubt.
But Uncle Dugal, not being sought by the Sasanachs, bought a open ticket home. Best be prepared we thought.
But putting such concerns away, as we are quite loath to interfere in Morag’s affairs, we decided on the Life of Pie for breakfast.
Deciding on which pies to take home put all else out of our minds.
And their eggs and sausage breakfasts are always a fine excuse for seconds.
As if Dugal has ever needed an excuse for seconds.
We packed the six pies with care, as one can never underestimate the importance of a dinner looking scrumptious too.
A nice damask tablecloth and fine Japanese porcelain always set the stage for a lovely late night repast. And some brandy of course.
Unfortunately there was plenty of room in the downstairs freezer, so we had no excuse to immediately indulge ourselves. Such is fate.
Miss Pancake
After my lunch we went outside into the side yard and I had a very nice nap.
Craig came with me, but he did not have a nap. Oh well.
We stayed for a very long time.
Until I got a bit too hot then I came back inside.
Because my very own chair does not get too hot.
So I can alway have nice naps on it.
And then if I hear anything I can look out my window just like that. Ha. That is a good chair.
When the badgers came home Mister Festis and Mister Furrgus both were carrying big boxes.
And those boxes were full right up with brand new pies. I could smell them.
They told me not to tell Niamh which refrigerator they put them in. Just in case.
Oh my goodness. Secrets. Maybe we are spies. Maybe.
When I had my second lunchtime Kathy came to visit us.
But only for a very little while. Because she was very busy.
So she brought back all the things that that Niamh forgot at the cottage.
Niamh always forgets things. Oh well.
And a beautiful tablecloth.
For special delicious dinners with our friends. Maybe even all the Mahoneys.
When Zita came home she had rugs for the basement kitchen. So it will be beautiful too.
Then we went out to do my homework. Because tomorrow is my school day.
And then we stayed outside.
Zita sat in the outside swing and I minded her. Ha.
Then I minded Craig.
Because Zita had to go to the grocery store, before she brought Niamh home from the shop.
And I had my dinner before she got home.
And we had a together dinner tonight. With Craig and Zita and Niamh and me.
Then it was time to watch our very good detective program.
